When my husband passed away in 2016, it took 2 weeks to get the original copy of the will from Mr. Ainsworth's office. I was told only that Mr. Ainsworth was "out of town" and that the documents were not stored on the premises. Because I was not told that he would be "out of town" for any specific period, I assumed he would be back in the office any day. After the third day of calling the receptionist stopped picking up the phone when I called and I had to resort to blocking my number when I called in order to get an answer. I eventually got the will, and got done what needed to be done. I recently called and made an appointment to change the executor on my own will and to get my deceased husbands name taken off my house. An appointment was set up, but the day before the receptionist called to inform me that Mr. Ainsworth needed to cancel and that the appointment could not be re-scheduled until much later - towards the end of the year. I'm guessing there's a whole slew of lawyers out there who are better prepared to handle such simple legal matters as mine, and will be seeking one out. I think that in assuming Mr. Ainsworth himself was not responsible for the inconvenience caused me in 2016, I was sadly mistaken. Situation remedied - competent lawyer found.
