Reception was very pleasant. Check in smooth and uncomplicated. We wanted a king size room but there are none at all so we had to settle for a queen size. Wished we'd opted for the two double beds as the room we had was VERY small. Bathroom fan and light on one switch and it was very loud. Carpet felt damp and room had a musty smell. Only 2 pillows on the bed. The TV was on top of a high cabinet hurting one's neck after watching for a while. Bed was fairly comfortable. Only queen size beds available and would have preferred a king size bed. There was no coffee or tea making station in the room, and although we were told at reception that coffee was available in the mornings there was no one at reception the next morning. Will definitely pay extra to stay somewhere else. It was very expensive for what we got.
I stayed for a wedding party, several of the other guests stayed as well. Mine was the only room without a fridge. Was very unimpressed with the coffee situation as well. Overall a totally bare bones experience. The bed was fine, shower was fine but no breakfast, no fridge in my room, one coffee pod with powder cream, the absolute bare minimum. I have stayed at other value motels for the same price and better amenities. You can do better.
My wife and I stayed at the Motel 6 over the long weekend. There weren't any positives to the stay. The person who checked us in wasn't very friendly to say the least. As for the room, the room was... adequate - ugly but clean. Not even even ten minutes after we put our bags down and started to settle in, the door was opened by another set of guests. The other guests apologize and headed back to reception. Shortly afterwards we get a call to our room from reception to verify our identity. When speaking over the phone the staff member inferred that we had gone in the wrong room when not only did he check us in but gave us for cards that opened the room itself. Poor service and no accountability for errors.
The hotel itself me and my guests had no problem with. Our problem was with the guests staying in the room next to us. We arrived back at our room very late Friday night and our party consisted of two children under the age of 11 and our guest next door at 1 a.m. were very loud and the language coming from that room was atrocious! I understand it was a hotel room and walls are some wet thinner I guess and I probably should have contacted the front desk immediately but I had no idea someone would be there that late. When we came back to our room Saturday afternoon and inquired about the guest in the room next to ours we were told that I should have called down to the front desk the night before but if the problem continues to give them a call immediately. When we got to our room on Saturday night and were there for only a short time the fighting and arguing in the language continued and at around 10:30 p.m. I contacted the front office and the gentleman there did come down to the room next door but the people inside refuse to answer the door. Then he must have went back to the front desk and he contacted my room to let me know that if it did continue to let him know immediately and that the authorities may become involved. I absolutely did not want to cause any problems with any of the other guests or anyone at all staff or otherwise I was just more concerned about the language coming from the room because of the two children that were with me. I do believe that the staff member did handle it to the best of his ability and although there was still some arguing later on in the night I just wanted to try to get some sleep and then we checked out by 7 a.m. the next morning. We had no problems directly with Motel 6 it was solely the guest in the Next Room that caused our stay not to be as enjoyable as I'm sure was possible. I think Motel 6 for addressing the situation as soon as we brought it to their attention and realize this was probably just an isolated incident. Thank you once again
No mini fridges in the room which I think is very inconvenient. I could hear every word the people above us said so I think the walls are very thin. I could also hear every step they took up to 2am so that was great. The room is nice but you definitely get what your $84 pays for. The carpet is lumpy and you only get 2 pillows initially (for 2 people). Our toilet was very loud. There is also a severe lack of convenient outlets for charging devices and whatnot; there's only one in the room and one in the bathroom. The bed was surprisingly comfy and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. There's an ice machine, coffee machine, and vending machine located beside the elevator on the ground floor. The coffee wasn't great but good enough for a quick fix.
