Understaffed and rude could tell they didn't even want to be there.... I waited 20 mins in line to ask a simple question. At no point did any of the many in line get approached to offer a apology for the wait time or to see if we had a quick question like I had. The older couple in front of me were buying a hat and a piece of luggage they ended up putting it back and leaving after 10 mins of waiting
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in any place I have been to. From the moment I walked in no one gave me the time of day. When I walked up to one of the membership desks the lady at the table didnt even look up until I said excuse me. When she looked up from her computer she rolled her eyes at me and from the moment we started a conversation all I got was attitude, and a sarcastic smile. All I wanted was to get some information on their travel insurance options as I was planning a trip in the near future. She rudely responded with are you only looking for information, or to actually buy travel insurance. The whole time I was there I felt as if I was wasting their time and they obviously did not want to be there. This store needs to hire new people who actually know good customer service skills, or they need to train their employees on how to provide good customer service because what I experienced was one the worst service I have ever received.
The store is full of so much information even if you aren't a CAA member. But if you are a member then it's even more amazing. The staff there are so knowledgeable and willing to help. If you have an idea for a trip they will give you so much information to help make your trip even better. Maps. Information booklets filled with fun things to do. Places were you get a discount with your CAA card. We were so grateful for their help.
This review is actually based on CAA as a whole and not this particular store. I was provided an incentive (via an Association I belong to) to upgrade my membership CAA Corporate. However I already have a Corporate membership so I call to see what incentives are available to me and my years of loyalty as a member? The simple answer is NONE. This is very similar to the incentives Bell or Rogers etc. offer to customers who are with another provider. i.e. come be our customer and we will give you this very special deal, and yet they won't offer the same deal to customers who have already been with them for 10 years. The message is clear, "we will work harder to gain a new customer than we will to keep the customer we already have". It is corporate stupidity at a very high level! It pisses people off, and for very good reason.
